Esperanza joined the back office team in 2024, after a career change from healthcare sciences. Her organised approach helps get our clients quickly up and running ready to use our service.

Office Manager (Spain)

Sandra (Sandy) runs our Costa Blanca office in Cabo Roig, as well as spending time helping property buyers, whether on the phone or in person. You’ll be hard pushed to find a friendlier face in all of Spain!

Partnership Manager

Elliot joined the A Place in the Sun Currency team in Spain in 2023, bringing fluent Spanish and a friendly approach to the Spanish team. He spends most of his time looking after a growing network of partner estate agents, lawyers and developers on the Costa del Sol, introducing our service to British buyers and sellers of Spanish property.

Based in our Costa Blanca office, Luke looks after a variety of estate agents and lawyers who have clients to introduce to A Place in the Sun Currency. Luke and the Spanish team are on hand to help with any currency requirements for buyers, owners and sellers of overseas property in Spain.

Tom is a founding member of the A Place in the Sun Currency team in Spain, bringing a wealth of experience in the currency business to our clients and our network of estate agents and lawyers on the Costa Blanca.

Fluent in French and Spanish, Helen makes regular trips overseas and is on hand to work with overseas property professionals around the world.

Before moving into a role looking after lawyers, developers and estate agents around the world, Nakhil was on the A Place in the Sun Currency trading team looking after clients, so he has impressive knowledge of the currency business. He is based in our UK office.

Administration Manager

Responsible for processing new enquiries & registrations, as well as liaising with our partner estate agents & lawyers to ensure the best service for our mutual clients, Lindsay keeps everything ticking at A Place in the Sun Currency HQ. Organised and efficient, she ensures that clients are looked after by the wider team.

Compliance Officer

Sam joined A Place in the Sun Currency in 2023, and is responsible for our anti-money laundering framework, internal risk controls and ultimately making sure our service is only used for legitimate purposes. She ensures the whole team has the relevant training and skills required to safely run a modern financial services business.

Associate Director – Payments

With the business since 2008, Chris is responsible for the day-to-day payments made and received for our clients. Using our advanced internal platform, Chris ensures money gets in and out quickly and accurately, working with colleagues in the trading and compliance teams.

Alister is an experienced member of the UK Client Services Team, helping customers with their regular currency transactions as well as talking to new buyers just starting out on their overseas property adventures.

Kian joined A Place in the Sun Currency in 2023 on the Client Services Team, and has since become a dedicated account manager for clients buying and selling overseas, looking after them from start to finish on their overseas property journeys.

As a founding Director, Robin oversees the regulatory, back office, operational and marketing functions, as well as the synergy with the other A Place in the Sun businesses.

A long-standing member of the back office team, Nita’s responsibilities include checking and verifying payments for clients to ensure compliance with money-laundering rules and internal policy. Nita’s experience and expertise helps keep clients’ money moving safely all over the world.

Grace is a long-standing member of the A Place in the Sun Currency team, with versatile skills and knowledge across the business. Currently she is working on the business desk for our bespoke service, Currency Index.

A founding Director of the business, Tom runs the entire customer-facing team on a day-to-day basis, solving any problems, as well as helping clients himself and being involved in overall strategy, marketing and regulations.
