What is a spot contract?

Spot Contracts

If you want to make a simple currency transfer, a ‘Spot’ contract is the basic type of currency contract and involves agreeing a price that you are happy with, before you transfer your selling currency (usually Pounds) to the A Place in the Sun Currency‘s client account, after which we will transfer your buying currency (eg Euros) to the account of your choice.

How long does it take?

Once you have registered with A Place in the Sun Currency, and your facility has been set up (usually within one working day) you can place an order immediately. Once you have placed the order and sent us your funds, we can process your outbound payment – for many countries and currencies, onward payment will arrive within one working day or less, but there are exceptions where it can take longer. Please see our FAQ on currencies & countries for more information,
