How can I turn my Euro draft into Pounds in my UK bank?

If you are selling a property in Spain, depending on the region your property is in and the solicitor and notary you use, you may be presented with a Euro banker’s draft when your sale has completed.

There are a number of reasons this may be inconvenient (you may not be in Spain any more for a start) and costly (your Spanish bank will likely charge a hefty fee to bank the draft, and another fee to send money to the UK), so A Place in the Sun Currency are pleased to offer our Draft service to reduce your headaches, and increase the amount you end up with in Pounds.

This service is operated by our Spanish subsidiary, A Place in the Sun Currency Europe SL, which is regulated by the Bank of Spain.

By prior arrangement, and with receipt of the necessary documents, we can arrange to bank your draft in our Euro client account with our local banking provider in Spain.

Because of our banking relationships in Spain and the UK, once the draft is clear you can instruct us to exchange to Pounds and make immediate payment to your UK account, with no additional charges, fees or delays.
